Yesterday, Reprolab went down to the Singapore-ETH Centre (SEC) to support NP and our collaborators during the joint BSF seminar hosted by SEC. Together with Professor Stephen Cairns, Adrian Fuhrmann (who is also our PhD student), Dr. Moritz Gold and Niraly Mangal, they introduced the audiences to the scope and themes covered in this collaboration. The turnout was great!
They also shared how Black Soldier Flies can be used in food waste management and sustainable food production in urban systems, to support Singapore's 30-by-30 aspiration (i.e., meeting 30% of nutritional requirements domestically by 2030). Here are some snapshots of the event:

Reprolab's new research collaboration was featured in The Straits Times today!
We are embarking on a new project to "develop a blueprint to integrate food waste management and sustainable food production" using the ubiquitous black soldier fly. This will be done together with researchers from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and ETH Zurich.
