A new semester has begun! If you're lucky, you might catch Dr. P in action at the following NUS modules: LSM2107 Evolutionary biology and LSM4259 Evolutionary genetics of reproduction. Last friday, ReproLab organised a lab field trip to Pasir Ris park! We were happy to introduce Dr Moritz Gold, our visitor from ETH Zürich, to our local flora and fauna. Also spot Shao Yang, our incoming Honours student, and Rebecca, our new research assistant, joining us for the first time! We explored both the mangrove boardwalk and the beach. Here are some of the interesting critters we spotted: The trip ended with lab lunch and a birthday surprise for Tyrone (who is now our PhD student). Happy (belated) Birthday Tyrone, may your PhD journey be fulfilling and rewarding. Till next time!

Reprolab just held an "Introduction to Mosquitos" workshop this week, kindly organised by our mosquito experts Hui Qing (PhD student) and Tze Xuan (UROPS student). The workshop covered the basics of mosquito research like trapping, identifying, and dissecting different species of mosquito. Hui Qing teaching us about how to identify a mosquito Students from Prof He's lab and new incoming students to Reprolab all learning how to identify different species of mosquitoes. A successful 2-day mosquito workshop! Thanks to Hui Qing and Tze Xuan for their hard work in preparing for this!
