Last friday, ReproLab organised a lab field trip to Pasir Ris park! We were happy to introduce Dr Moritz Gold, our visitor from ETH Zürich, to our local flora and fauna. Also spot Shao Yang, our incoming Honours student, and Rebecca, our new research assistant, joining us for the first time! We explored both the mangrove boardwalk and the beach. Here are some of the interesting critters we spotted: The trip ended with lab lunch and a birthday surprise for Tyrone (who is now our PhD student). Happy (belated) Birthday Tyrone, may your PhD journey be fulfilling and rewarding. Till next time!
Dr. P was interviewed by HerWorld magazine as a mini-series 'Call of The Wild' which features inspiring women who are championing wildlife conservation efforts in Singapore. Click below for the link to the original article where Dr. P talks about her journey in a STEM career. At 2 long years, we were finally able to physically gather to celebrate someone's birthday! Happy Birthday Huiqing🎉🎉🎉! May you have many happy returns on your special day! Surprise successful 😎
Reprolab recently got featured on DBS's graduate corporate video! Click the link below to see our very own Master's student Hillary and Research Assistant Yong Jen in action within the insectary!

Update: Catch the interview here: Ethiroli Interview (Tamil w Eng Subs) Dr. P spoke to Rhianne Lovell-Boland from Money FM 89.3 this week and shared more about our Black Soldier Fly (BSF) research collaboration, explaining how Singapore could solve complex food waste problems with the help of insects like the BSFs. Our co-supervised PhD student was given the amazing opportunity to share about her research on Pulau Ubin. They even saw an Onthophagus dung beetle rolling dung during the shoot! |
